A Millennial Visits a Gucci Corner Shop
I recently visited the Gucci Corner Shop in Selfridges. Now, I'm not necessarily someone who has Gucci money but, I did very much enjoy looking around and the aesthetic of it all. Millennial pink was everywhere from the walls, to the stands, to the mannequins and the chairs. The bags for your Gucci purchases were also gorgeous and pretty in pink.
I found the staff very polite, and even had a conversation with a staff member about studying fashion at university. They wasn't giving me funny looks (as many designer sales assistants seem to do) and she continued to explain about the shop and some of their exclusive products.
Everything was displayed so beautifully and made you want to spend. It was great to get up close and personal with the amazing designs and see them glisten under the lights. The pop-up is a great way to attract attention to the brand in an effective and low cost way.
The store was very "Instagrammable" - meaning others were also their taking photos on their phone and probably uploading them to their socials. This helps to generate more hype as other people want to come see it for themselves, and maybe even buy so they can get their hands on the limited edition
pink bag which your purchase comes in.
If you get chance go and visit the pop up.
