Chanel Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear

Chanel ; one of the most highly anticipated shows of Paris Fashion Week, such an iconic brand on home turf, Karl Lagerfeld certainly impressed with this Fall 2015 Ready-To-Wear collection. Tartan, texture and tweed, three words that sprung to my mind when I first saw the photographs. I love the detailing on some of the jackets and the beautiful embellishments the skirts and dresses.
The brasserie setting added to the whole show and gave an idea as to the inspiration behind Lagerfeld's pieces - the essence of Parisian style. The black's and white's as well as splashes of red and blue really simplified this collection in terms of colour and helped draw attention to the amazing textures; the real stars of the show.
Overall, the show seemed to live up to its expectations. "A look as straightforward as a tweed coat over a houndstooth skirt nailed an everyday fashion need." A quote that I find quite fitting for the show. As unique as some of the pieces may seem the trends they convey are exactly what you need to look out for this coming Fall.
